Name: Melissa Soel What do you do at K3 Technology? Basically a superhero (aka Support Engineer)! Where are you from originally? Utica, NY What do you love about the hybrid work environment? Working from home is great (especially with pets around) but it's nice getting to come into the office and see everyone once in a while! Even though a lot of us work remote, it still feels like a family! What are you most excited about over the next few years? Growing with the company and moving to the mountains! I'm excited to learn more every day.     Who motivates you? My parents and my best friends, I couldn't live without them. iPhone or Android? iPhone ???? What do you do for fun? Mostly making things (stained glass, blacksmithing, mediocre woodworking), and the occasional video games or board games.   If you could go anywhere, where would it be? Norway or Iceland for sure. Favorite restaurant in the world? A little Yakiniku restaurant in Japan. I've only been once and I don't know the name, but I think about it all the time! What is your favorite aspect about the Technology Industry? How it changes every day, we'll never get bored! The advancements in technology are making so many things possible that we couldn't have even dreamt of. What advice would you provide to someone interested in the tech field? Anyone can learn it, so don't give up! Just having the motivation for continued learning will take you where you want to go. How have you found our company culture to be? It's awesome. This is the best team I've ever worked with and everyone goes out of their way to help each other out. Couldn't ask for a better company to work for! Favorite books/reading material/websites? I love fantasy books, probably my favorite series would be the Dragonlance series or Lord of the Rings.
